you are the lost and found
give em the once-around
make sure they're on the ground
and don't make a sound
you are the bones that break
give em the old shake, shake
you are the one that makes
and takes away
you came to me in dreams
peaking in through the seams
things are not what I see
or what they seem to be
so much for golden grace
and windows that show your face
there is no line to trace
or erase
does death ride a motor bike?
does she ride down the jersey turnpike?

maureen is at it again
screaming at two am
saying god, help me
jesus --lord-- protect me
from these men
a prick in her arm and she goes back to sleep
her demons and god are the garden she keeps
she paces around like a toy
her head's full of sin but her heart's full of joy
and she speaks with conviction
as she holds her head high for the doctor
seventy five with nobody to love
or to be loved by, or even speak of
maureen is an angel, she's dressed in a rag
maureen is an angel. she's got it real bad
a friend of mine saw me today
they said it'll all be okay
forgive me, but i believe not a word that you say
i just wanna talk to me my friends on the phone
cuz nothing feels worse than feeling alone
the doctors are also confused
they say subsitute coffee with cranberry juice
and listen-- maureen,
she's causing a scene in the rec room
the walls of my room start to dance to the sound
I feel myself separate from the ground
if i float away will i ever be found?
if i float away, will i ever come down?
poor old maureen, in her blue paper clothes
I wanna see her smile, but I can't keep her close
