I heard a dog bark and her voice was filled with dread

we all do fucked up things when our souls disappear

there is a young oak in my parents' backyard
it grew all by itself since 1997
it's 50 feet tall beautiful when the sun falls down on its left side
i got this guitar from a friend i don't see
he's riding that gravy train way down in dixie
we used to talk but now he doesn't call me anymore
i got a a crumpled piece of paper in my pocket
it says to meet you in a couple of minutes
to drink some coffee and the time it takes up
i know we're hanging out
